Double Bamboo

In Japanese culture, the bamboo is an elegant symbol of strength and flexibility, wisdom in emptiness, usefulness through simplicity. The image of these bamboo leaves was captured on a hilltop in Inverness; the dried bamboo poles came from (I confess!) a local hardware store.
